Windows X86_64 Preview

Picture
Congratulations!  You've successfully installed a beta release of MicroView for 64-bit Windows.  Thank-you for your interest in this software, and for taking the time to try it out.  We value your opinion of this software, and would like to capture community interest in our continuing to develop MicroView, so don't hesitate to contact us with bug reports, questions, complaints or to discuss our future plans with MicroView.  In particular, we encourage you to share your thoughts and comments on our Google+ page.

Support

Picture
First and foremost, this release represents a beta snapshot of the original opensource version of  MicroView.  It doesn't contain the same feature list as the commercially supported versions. It represents, rather, a continuation of the basic viewer available on the original MicroView sourceforge site.  This software is provided "as-is", and while our plan is to progressively improve the quality and capability of the image viewer to the point where we can release it in both free and non-free version streams, this release is just the first step.  Please do not contact GE or Trifoil Imaging Inc. expecting to get support for this version of the software.  It will install itself along side any existing MicroView versions you already have installed.

Time Limited Demo

Picture
While MicroView is pre-release, we'd like to keep a fairly tight grip on the demo binaries, to avoid the possibility of potentially buggy software being used by an extended MicroView audience, that isn't interested in helping report and fix bugs.  To that end, this release has a limited shelf-life of 2 months.  You can expect an updated close to the end of the 2 month window to replace it.  That being said, the more eyes to test the software the better.  Please feel free to redistribute the installer.

    • Most notable feature: a native 64-bit Windows platform release - no more 840 MB file size limit under Windows
  • Improved DICOM support:
